Miles Overview
The Sportage is Kia's compact crossover, the one you'll cross-shop with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. It steers crisply and feels smaller than it is, which makes it easy to park and fun on a back road. The ride is on the firm side, and cabin noise picks up at highway speeds, but the seats stay comfortable for long trips. Cargo space is a bit tight for the class, though the rear seats fold flat to stretch it out. Its 2.4L I4 makes 182 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which is plenty for daily driving and returns 24 mpg combined. The EX can be had with all-wheel drive for a few thousand more, which adds grip in rain and light snow without hurting the steering feel much.
