Miles Overview
The Sportage is Kia's compact SUV, the one that goes up against the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. It feels lighter and more eager than its size suggests, with a firm suspension that keeps body roll in check. The cabin is roomy for four adults, and the rear seats fold nearly flat to open up a generous cargo area. Owners mention a couple of blind spots over the shoulder and a few reports of paint peeling on the roof rails. The LX is the well-equipped starting point for the Sportage, giving you standard air conditioning, power windows and locks, and a four-speaker audio system that the base model doesn't have. Its 2.4L I4 makes 176 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which delivers adequate power for daily driving while returning 23 mpg combined.
