Miles Overview
The Sportage is Kia's compact SUV, the one that goes up against the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. It feels lighter and more eager than its size suggests, with a firm suspension that keeps body roll in check. The cabin is roomy for four adults, and the rear seats fold nearly flat to open up a generous cargo area. Owners mention a couple of blind spots over the shoulder and a few reports of paint peeling on the roof rails. The LX is the base Sportage, skipping the EX's leather and upgraded audio to keep the price down. Its 2.4L I4 makes 176 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which is enough for daily driving but feels busy on the highway.
