Miles Overview
The 2022 Sportage is Kia's compact crossover, slotting between the subcompact Soul and the three-row Sorento in the lineup. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Mazda CX-5, offering a slightly sharper design and a longer warranty than most. The Sportage drives with a composed, planted feel, and the turbocharged version adds welcome punch for merging and passing. The ride is on the firm side, which sharpens handling but means you'll feel sharper pavement patches more than in some rivals. Inside, the Sportage offers a tidy cabin with straightforward controls and generous rear-seat space for the class. Its 2.4L I4 pairs with a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, delivering 181 horsepower and 23 mpg combined.
