Miles Overview
The Soul is Kia's boxy compact SUV, the one with the upright stance that makes it feel roomier inside than its footprint suggests. It rides smoothly over most surfaces, and the tall seating gives you a commanding view of the road. The cabin is airy and practical, with a flat-folding rear seat that opens up space for bulky cargo like IKEA boxes. Some owners mention the interior plastics feel a bit cheap, and the UVO infotainment system can be finicky. The 1.6L I4 sends 201 horsepower through the seven-speed automatic to the front wheels, and you'll feel it in the way the car pulls eagerly from a stop. The Exclaim's firmer suspension and 18-inch wheels sharpen the handling, though you'll notice the trade-off on rougher pavement.
