Miles Overview
The Sportage is Kia's small SUV, a budget-friendly pick that competes with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. It's nimble in town and easy to park, though the base engine feels a bit underwhelming on the highway. The cabin is roomier than you'd expect, with a big cargo area and a handy glass hatch that opens separately. Owners mention the light interior shows dirt fast, and the decals can peel over time. The LX is the base Sportage, skipping the EX's power goodies and alloy wheels to keep the price low. With the 2.0L and automatic transmission, it's a willing city runner but needs a heavy foot to merge on the highway. The LX's manual-adjust seats and cloth upholstery are honest and easy to live with, though the cabin feels basic.
