Miles Overview
The 2008 Kia Sorento is a midsize SUV that competes with the Ford Explorer and Jeep Grand Cherokee. It drives smoothly on the highway and handles well for its size, though the ride can feel a bit stiff over bumps. The cargo area is generous for hauling gear, and the available third-row seat adds versatility for extra passengers. Owners report that the Sorento is generally reliable, but some have experienced issues with brake durability and lock actuators over time. The LX is the base Sorento, getting you the same 3.3L V6 and standard features as other trims but with cloth seats and a simpler audio system. With 242 horsepower and the automatic transmission driving all four wheels through all-wheel drive, this LX pulls strongly on hills and manages 17 mpg combined.
