2022 KIA Seltos S Nightfall

The Seltos is Kia's subcompact SUV, sized between the Soul and the Sportage and aimed at buyers who want a small crossover with a bit more presence. It's a willing little SUV around town, with light steering and a ride that's composed on most roads, though it can feel busy over sharper bumps. The cabin is roomier than the exterior suggests, with a straightforward dashboard and plenty of headroom for front-seat passengers. Standard tech includes an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a full suite of driver assists like forward collision warning and lane keeping assist. The S Nightfall is the style-focused Seltos, swapping the EX's extra features for blacked-out exterior trim and 18-inch wheels. Its 2.0L I4 makes 147 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, routed through a seven-speed automatic to the front-wheel drive, which keeps things light and efficient at 27 mpg combined.
