Miles Overview
The Forte is Kia's compact sedan, a direct rival to the Civic and Corolla but with a bit more style and standard equipment. It handles predictably and rides smoothly, making it an easy car to live with day to day, though the engine can get a bit noisy under hard acceleration. The cabin is roomy for the class, with a large trunk and comfortable seats, but the light-colored upholstery stains easily, so be careful with drinks. Bluetooth phone connectivity and available rearview camera are handy, though some owners wish the touchscreen were larger. The LX is the base Forte, under the EX, and it sticks to the essentials to keep the price low. You get a manual transmission here, which the EX doesn't offer, so it's the pick if you like shifting your own gears.
