Miles Overview
The 2023 Sonata is a midsize sedan that takes on the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Altima. The Sonata's steering is responsive and the ride is composed, making it a pleasant highway cruiser. The cabin is roomy and well laid out, with a large touchscreen and comfortable seats for long trips. The SE is the straightforward choice for buyers who want the Sonata's standard safety suite and a smooth ride without spending on extras you won't use; stepping up to the SEL adds a larger touchscreen and dual-zone climate control. Its 2.5L I4 makes 191 horsepower and pairs with the eight-speed automatic, delivering smooth acceleration and an EPA-rated 32 mpg combined on regular fuel. The SE rides on 16-inch alloy wheels and cloth seats, which keeps the price low but means you give up the heated front seats and power-adjustable driver's seat found on higher trims.
