Miles Overview
The Genesis Coupe is Hyundai's rear-drive sports coupe, aimed at the same crowd as the Ford Mustang and Nissan 370Z. It's a proper driver's car with sharp steering and a lively chassis, and the manual gearbox is a joy to row through. The cabin is snug but well laid out, with supportive seats and a simple, easy-to-use dashboard. It's a true two-door coupe, so rear seats are tight and trunk space is modest, but you get a decent-sized opening for a golf bag. Its 3.8L I4 makes 348 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, routed through an eight-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and you'll feel every bit of that torque on corner exit. Fuel economy is 19 mpg combined, which is the price you pay for that V6 grunt, but the standard limited-slip differential helps put the power down cleanly.
