Miles Overview
The Genesis is Hyundai's full-size luxury sedan, a rear-drive rival to the Lexus ES and Cadillac CTS. It's a smooth, quiet cruiser with plenty of power, and the transmission shifts so seamlessly you'll hardly notice it working. Inside, you get a spacious, well-trimmed cabin with leather, wood accents, and a big touchscreen that's easy to navigate. Owners report trouble-free miles and low maintenance costs, though the rear seats don't fold down and the windshield can fog up. If you want the full luxury experience without the V8's fuel penalty, the Genesis 3.8 is the smarter daily driver, while this 5.0 is for those who want the extra power and presence. The 5.0L I8 makes 420 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, so it feels effortless on the highway and sounds great when you step on it. The 5.0 comes standard with a sport-tuned suspension and bigger brakes, so it handles its weight better than the 3.8, but the ride is firmer over broken pavement.
