Miles Overview
The 2010 Genesis is Hyundai's first real luxury sedan, a rear-wheel-drive car aimed squarely at the German and Japanese flagships at a fraction of the price. It's smooth and quiet on the highway, with a hushed cabin that makes long trips feel effortless. Inside, you get leather, wood trim, and a premium sound system, though the rear seats don't fold down, which limits cargo flexibility. Owners report solid reliability overall, but a few have mentioned issues with the transmission and some interior trim pieces wearing prematurely. Stepping up from the V6 model gets you the stronger V8 and a few extra luxury touches, but you'll give up some fuel economy for the added power. The 4.6L V8 pairs with a smooth automatic and rear-wheel drive, giving the Genesis a relaxed, effortless feel on the highway. It returns 19 mpg combined. This trim's adaptive suspension is the standout feature, letting you soften the ride for cruising or firm it up when you want more control on twisty roads.
