Miles Overview
The 2009 Elantra is Hyundai's compact sedan, with a wagon variant called the Touring for extra cargo space. It handles confidently in rain and snow, feeling solid and predictable in all kinds of weather. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and functional, with soft cloth seats and a large trunk for the class. Owners report few mechanical issues, though some have noted flaky power locks and chipping paint over time. The SE adds fog lights, upgraded cloth upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel over the base GLS. Its 2.0L four-cylinder pairs with a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual, delivering eager around-town response. The SE's standard 15-inch alloy wheels and sport-tuned suspension give it a slightly sharper feel than the base car.
