Miles Overview
The Elantra is Hyundai's compact sedan, going up against the Civic and Corolla with a sharp look and a long warranty. It handles well and gets great gas mileage, but the base engine can feel a bit short on power when merging onto the highway. Inside, the cabin feels upscale for the price, with comfortable seats and a clean layout, though it's a small car inside. Owners report few problems overall, with the occasional radio glitch or cheaply made sunglass holder being the main complaints. Paired with a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, the Sport's engine pulls harder than the base car and still returns 28 mpg combined. The Sport also gets a firmer suspension and unique styling cues, making it the enthusiast pick in the lineup.
