Miles Overview
The 2016 Elantra GT is Hyundai's compact hatchback, a practical alternative to the sedan that competes with the Mazda3 and Ford Focus. It handles with a light, eager feel that makes it fun to toss around town, though the steering is a bit numb on center. The cabin is straightforward and roomy for the class, with a large cargo area that expands when you fold the rear seats. Standard tech includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and available navigation, plus a rearview camera. The GT is the entry-level hatchback, so you skip the GT Sport's extra power and sport-tuned suspension, but it still has the same practical body and a lower starting price. Its 2.0L I4 makes 145 horsepower paired with a six-speed automatic, which feels peppy around town but needs a firm foot for highway merging.
