Miles Overview
The 2019 Elantra is Hyundai's compact sedan, slotting below the Sonata and competing with the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Mazda3. The Elantra rides smoothly and steers with a light, easy feel, though the base engine can feel strained when accelerating onto highways. Inside, the cabin offers generous space for four adults, a large trunk, and available touches like heated seats and a sunroof. Standard tech includes a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus available blind-spot monitoring and lane keeping assist. Its 1.6L I4 makes 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, delivering quick acceleration that the base engine lacks. The Sport's stiffer suspension and larger brakes sharpen handling, but the ride is firmer than the regular Elantra's.
