Miles Overview
The Kona is Hyundai's subcompact crossover, a small SUV that fits below the Tucson and competes with the Honda HR-V and Toyota C-HR. It's a fun little SUV to drive, with eager steering and a ride that's on the firm side but keeps body roll in check. The cabin is nicely put together for the class, with comfortable front seats and a rear seat that's snug for adults but fine for kids. Cargo space is modest, but the rear seats fold flat to open up room for weekend gear, and the tall roofline makes loading easy. The Ultimate is the top Kona, so you get every option without stepping up to any other trim. A 1.6L I4 makes 175 horsepower and pulls strongly from low revs, paired with a seven-speed automatic and all-wheel drive that gets 27 mpg combined. Only the Ultimate gets a head-up display and a premium Infinity audio system, plus LED headlights that light up the road well at night.
