Miles Overview
The Kona is Hyundai's subcompact crossover, the smallest SUV in the lineup and a direct rival to the Honda HR-V and Toyota C-HR. With its short wheelbase and eager steering, the Kona feels nimble and fun to toss around town. The ride is firm but composed, and the cabin stays reasonably quiet at highway speeds. The cabin is snug for four adults, and cargo space is tight, but the front seats are comfortable and the controls are simple. The 2.0L I4 makes 147 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, giving the Kona SEL eager around-town response and 27 mpg combined. The SEL can be had with the optional Tech Package, which adds a sunroof, heated front seats, and a power driver's seat.
