2019 Hyundai Tucson SEL

The 2019 Tucson is Hyundai's compact SUV, slotting between the smaller Kona and the larger Santa Fe. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape in the crowded compact crossover segment. The Tucson feels composed and responsive around town, with light steering that makes parking easy. Inside, the cabin offers generous passenger space for the class, though some lower trims use harder plastics. Cargo space is competitive, and the rear seats fold nearly flat for hauling larger items. The SEL is the mid-range Tucson, adding convenience features like blind-spot monitoring and a larger touchscreen over the base SE. Its 2.4L I4 makes 181 horsepower and pairs with an {automatic transmission} and all-wheel drive, giving it confident highway merging and all-weather traction.
