2025 Chevrolet Trax 2RS

The 2025 Trax is Chevrolet's entry-level subcompact SUV, slotting below the Equinox and competing with the Kia Soul and Hyundai Kona. The turbo three-cylinder feels eager around town, and the light body makes the Trax nimble in tight city traffic. The ride is firm over broken pavement, which is the trade-off for its tidy handling and stable highway manners. Inside, the Trax offers a simple dashboard with an 8-inch touchscreen, and rear legroom is generous for the class. Blacked-out badging, 19-inch wheels, and the 11-inch touchscreen set the 2RS apart from the LT and ACTIV trims below it. The 1.2L I3 makes 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to front-wheel drive, which is enough for zippy city driving. The 2RS is the only Trax with a flat-bottom steering wheel and red interior accents, giving the cabin a sportier feel.
