2026 Chevrolet Trax 1RS

The Trax is Chevrolet's smallest SUV, slotting below the Trailblazer and taking on the Honda HR-V and Kia Seltos. The Trax feels light and eager around town, with quick steering and a suspension that absorbs most bumps without fuss. Inside, the Trax offers a modern dashboard with an 11-inch touchscreen and generous rear legroom for its size. The Trax has not yet built a long-term reliability record, but its simple powertrain and proven platform bode well. The 1RS is the sporty-looking entry point, with a black grille and red accents that the LS doesn't get, but you give up the LT's larger touchscreen. Its turbocharged Ecotec 1.2L Turbo makes 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive for 30 mpg combined. The flat-bottom steering wheel and red stitching inside give the cabin a sportier feel without costing much more than the base LS.
