Miles Overview
The Encore GX is Buick's subcompact SUV, a bit larger than the regular Encore and aimed at buyers who want a small crossover with a bit more room. It's easy to drive around town, with light steering and a suspension that soaks up bumps well, though it's not what you'd call sporty. The cabin feels upscale for the class, with soft-touch materials and a clean layout, and the rear seats offer decent space for adults. Cargo space is generous for a subcompact, and the low load floor makes it easy to haul groceries or luggage. Leather upholstery, a power driver seat, and a larger touchscreen set the Essence apart from the Select and Preferred trims below it. This front-wheel-drive Essence uses the 1.2L I3 with 137 horsepower and a automatic transmission, returning 28 mpg combined.
