Miles Overview
The Encore GX is Buick's subcompact SUV, a bit larger than the regular Encore and aimed at buyers who want a small crossover with a bit more room. It's easy to drive around town, with light steering and a suspension that soaks up bumps well, though it's not what you'd call sporty. The cabin feels upscale for the class, with soft-touch materials and a clean layout, and the rear seats offer decent space for adults. Cargo space is generous for a subcompact, and the low load floor makes it easy to haul groceries or luggage. The Preferred is the trim to pick if you want all-wheel drive without stepping up to the Select or Essence, and it's the only way to get the stronger engine with AWD at a lower price.
