2022 Buick Encore Preferred

The Encore is Buick's smallest crossover, a subcompact that's easy to park and easy on the wallet. Around town it feels nimble and light, with a ride that's comfortable for the class. The cabin is quiet and well put together, though rear legroom is tight for adults. Cargo space is modest, but the folding rear seats make it workable for everyday errands. The Preferred is the trim most shoppers pick for its balance of standard features and a reasonable starting price, while the higher trims add niceties like leather seats and a sunroof. Under the hood is a 1.4L I4 making 155 horsepower, paired with a six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, which feels peppy around town but needs a firm foot on the highway. The Preferred can be had with the available Driver Confidence Package, which adds rear parking sensors and a rear camera mirror for easier maneuvering in tight spots.
