Miles Overview
The Encore is Buick's subcompact crossover, a small SUV that's easy to park and maneuver in tight city spots. It drives smoothly and quietly, with a ride that soaks up bumps well for its size. Inside, the cabin feels upscale for the class, but the back seat and cargo area are snug, so it's best for one or two people. Standard tech includes a rearview camera and an infotainment screen that's easy to reach and use. The Base trim is the straightforward entry point, skipping the Convenience group's heated seats and remote start while keeping the essentials like the 7-inch touchscreen and rearview camera. Its 1.4L I4 makes 138 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which feels adequate for around-town errands but needs planning for highway merges. The Base rides on 18-inch wheels as standard, which is unusual at this price point and gives it a planted look that the smaller wheels on rivals don't match.
