Miles Overview
The 2023 Corolla is Toyota's compact sedan and hatchback, offered in LE, SE, and XSE trims with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. It competes with the Honda Civic, Mazda3, and Hyundai Elantra, but stands apart with an available hybrid powertrain. The Corolla feels light and nimble around town, with responsive steering that makes it easy to place in traffic. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and well-built, with supportive front seats and a user-friendly infotainment system. The SE is the sporty middle child of the Corolla lineup, blending the LE's practicality with sharper looks and a firmer suspension for a more engaging drive. Its 2.0L I4 makes 169 horsepower and pairs with a CVT that mimics stepped gears in Sport mode, delivering 34 mpg combined. Paddle shifters and a multi-link rear suspension are standard on the SE, giving it a planted feel through corners that the LE doesn't share.
