Miles Overview
The RAV4 is Toyota's compact SUV, a practical pick that competes with the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape. It handles well for an SUV, feeling solid and easy to control, though acceleration can be leisurely with the base engine. The rear door swings open sideways rather than lifting, which some owners love for access but can be awkward in tight spots. Owners report the RAV4 is durable and dependable, though some mention recalls and occasional squeaks as it ages. Stepping up to the Limited gets you leather upholstery, a power driver's seat, and automatic climate control, plus the option of the V6 that the base trims don't offer. The 3.5L V6 makes 269 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque, giving this RAV4 genuinely quick acceleration for a compact SUV, and the five-speed automatic shifts smoothly. With front-wheel drive this Limited is lighter than the all-wheel-drive version, which helps fuel economy hit 22 mpg combined and sharpens the handling feel.
