Miles Overview
The RAV4 is Toyota's compact SUV, the one that helped start the small crossover craze. It drives with a light, nimble feel that makes it easy to park and maneuver in town. The cabin is practical with a tall seating position and a cargo area that swallows a bike with the seats folded. Owners consistently report high reliability and low maintenance, though some note the side-opening rear door can be awkward in tight spots. The Standard is the no-frills RAV4, giving you the same practical cabin and cargo space as the Sport or Limited without the extra cost. Its 2.4L I4 makes 149 horsepower and pairs with a four-speed automatic, which is adequate for daily driving but feels strained on steep grades. You get 24 mpg combined from the front-wheel drive, and the trade-off for the low base price is that you skip alloy wheels and a power driver seat.
