Miles Overview
The RAV4 is Toyota's compact SUV, a practical pick that competes with the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape. It handles well for an SUV, feeling solid and easy to control, though acceleration can be leisurely with the base engine. The rear door swings open sideways rather than lifting, which some owners love for access but can be awkward in tight spots. Owners report the RAV4 is durable and dependable, though some mention recalls and occasional squeaks as it ages. The Limited is the luxury pick of the RAV4 lineup, with more standard comfort and convenience gear than the base model. It returns 21 mpg combined, which is reasonable given the V6's power, but expect to feed it premium fuel for best performance.
