2026 Toyota bZ Limited

The 2026 bZ is Toyota's dedicated electric SUV, slotting below the larger bZ4X and aimed at compact crossover buyers. It competes with the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the crowded electric crossover segment. The bZ feels responsive and easy to place in town, with instant electric torque and a low center of gravity. The ride is composed on most surfaces, though the firmer suspension tuning is noticeable over sharp bumps. Inside, the bZ offers a clean, modern cabin with supportive seats and a straightforward layout. A large touchscreen and standard Toyota Safety Sense come on every trim, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota's reputation for dependability extends to its EVs, though the bZ is too new to have a long-term track record. The Limited is the top bZ trim, with more power and standard all-wheel drive than the XLE and XLE Plus. Its dual-motor setup makes 338 horsepower and 323 lb-ft of torque, and the EPA estimates 278 miles of range on a full charge. The Limited gets a 14-inch touchscreen, heated and ventilated SofTex seats, and a 360-degree camera as standard.
