Miles Overview
The RX 350 is Lexus's mid-size SUV, the one most people cross-shop with the BMW X5 and Acura MDX. It's tuned for a smooth, quiet ride rather than sporty handling, which suits most owners just fine. Inside, you get a roomy cabin with comfortable seats and a straightforward layout that's easy to live with. Cargo space is generous for the class, and the rear seats fold flat to swallow bulky loads. The 350 is the base powertrain choice; stepping up to the RX 450h gets you hybrid efficiency and all-wheel drive, but the 350's conventional V6 keeps the price lower and the driving simpler. Its 3.5L V6 makes 275 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to the front wheels, which gives it smooth, adequate acceleration and an EPA-rated 21 mpg combined. The 350's standard front-wheel drive and softer suspension tuning mean a cushioned ride on pavement, but you'll want the available AWD and the F Sport package's firmer dampers if you drive on loose surfaces or prefer sharper handling.
