Miles Overview
Around town it feels smooth and effortless, with the electric motor doing most of the work in stop-and-go traffic. The ride is genuinely plush, soaking up bumps that would rattle other SUVs, and the cabin stays library-quiet at highway speeds. The RX 450h is the hybrid version of Lexus's luxury crossover, and it trades a bit of cargo space for significantly better fuel economy than the standard RX 350. Its 3.5L V6 hybrid pairs with an automatic transmission and front-wheel drive to deliver 275 horsepower, and the hybrid system makes it feel especially responsive from a stop while returning 30 mpg combined. The continuously variable transmission takes some getting used to, but the payoff is a smooth, quiet powertrain that sips fuel like a much smaller car.
