Miles Overview
The 2024 GX 550 is a body-on-frame luxury SUV that blends off-road capability with Lexus refinement. It competes with the Land Rover Defender, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Mercedes-Benz GLE. The GX 550 rides on a truck frame, so it feels sturdy and capable off-road, though the ride is firm on pavement. Inside, the cabin is spacious and quiet, with premium materials and seating for up to seven. Standard tech includes a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. The Premium skips the Luxury's air suspension and upgraded leather, but keeps the same powertrain and off-road hardware for thousands less. You still get NuLuxe seats with heat and ventilation, a 14-inch touchscreen, and a locking center differential for serious off-road capability.
