Miles Overview
The RX 300 is the compact luxury SUV that essentially created the segment, blending car-like comfort with all-weather capability. It drives more like a sedan than a truck, with a smooth ride and easy steering that make it a relaxing daily driver. The cabin is quiet and well-built, with comfortable seats and a practical layout that still feels modern for its age. Reliability is a strong point, with many examples surpassing 200,000 miles, though some suspension components may need attention as they age. The 300 is the only trim for the RX 300 in 2001, so you get the same 3.0L V6 and all-wheel drive regardless of which one you find. Its 3.0L V6 makes 184 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission, delivering smooth power that's more about relaxed cruising than quick acceleration. Fuel economy is what you'd expect for an early-2000s luxury SUV: 18 mpg combined, which means frequent stops at the pump on longer trips.
