Miles Overview
The GX is Lexus's body-on-frame SUV, the one that still feels like a proper off-roader rather than a crossover. It rides like a traditional truck-based SUV, with a commanding view and a steady, confident gait on the highway. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with real wood and leather trim that feels properly upscale. The third row is tight for adults, but the GX's boxy shape gives you a genuinely useful cargo area behind it. The Luxury is the top GX trim, adding nicer leather, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel over the Premium. Its 4.6L V8 makes 301 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, giving you steady, predictable power for towing or trail driving. Expect the ride to be firmer than a unibody luxury SUV, which is the trade-off for the GX's real off-road capability.
