Miles Overview
The GX 470 is Lexus's body-on-frame SUV, a true off-roader that also happens to be a comfortable luxury cruiser. It rides smoothly and quietly on the highway, but the steering feels vague and the brakes are grabby, so it's more about comfort than sporty driving. Inside, the cabin is well-built with soft-touch materials and a straightforward layout, though the third row is tight and the cargo area is modest. The GX 470 has a strong reputation for reliability, but it's known for a few common issues like a leaking radiator and a failing secondary air injection pump. The GX 470 is the sole trim for this model year, so you get the full off-road package and luxury features without any step-up choices.
