Miles Overview
The GX is Lexus's body-on-frame SUV, the one that still feels like a proper off-roader rather than a crossover. It rides like a traditional truck-based SUV, with a commanding view and a steady, confident gait on the highway. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with real wood and leather trim that feels properly upscale. The third row is tight for adults, but the GX's boxy shape gives you a genuinely useful cargo area behind it. Its 4.6L V8 makes 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic that feels deliberate rather than quick, and it returns 16 mpg combined. The Premium's standard Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System uncouples the sway bars off-road for more axle articulation, which is rare on a luxury SUV.
