Miles Overview
The 2012 IS is Lexus's compact sport sedan, offered here as a convertible that trades the coupe's roof for open-air driving. The cabin is snug but well crafted, with quality materials and comfortable front seats, though rear legroom is tight. Lexus's reputation for reliability carries over here, so you can expect the IS to be a dependable daily driver. This base IS comes as a convertible with a smaller engine than the IS 350, but you still get that open-air experience from the start. The 2.5L V6 makes 236 horsepower and sends power to rear-wheel drive, which keeps the front end light and the steering responsive. With the convertible roof up, the cabin stays quiet; with it down, you hear the V6's intake note on your favorite road.
