Miles Overview
The IS is Lexus's compact sports sedan, the one that goes up against the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. It's a rear-drive-feeling sedan that rewards a quick turn into a corner, and the steering is nicely weighted. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade-off for how well it handles, but it stays composed on rough pavement. The cabin is snug for a compact sedan, so rear-seat passengers won't have a ton of legroom, but the front seats are supportive. The Premium is the mid-level IS 300 trim, adding heated front seats and a power-adjustable steering wheel over the base model. Under the hood is a 2.0L I4 making 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with a eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. The Premium's 18-inch wheels and adaptive front lighting are standard here, while the F Sport adds a firmer suspension and sport seats.
