Miles Overview
The IS is Lexus's compact sport sedan, the one you cross-shop with the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. It's a sharp-handling little sedan that feels eager on a back road, with a firm ride that's the trade for its composure. The cabin is snug for a compact sedan, and the trunk is on the small side, so it's best for one or two people most days. The infotainment uses a touchpad controller that takes some getting used to, but the standard safety suite is generous for the year. The F Sport is the sporty pick in the IS lineup, with sharper styling and a firmer suspension than the base car. This IS 300 uses a 3.5L V6 making 255 horsepower and pairs it with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, which gives it all-weather grip but adds weight. The F Sport's adaptive variable suspension is worth finding; it lets you soften the ride for daily driving or firm it up for corners.
