Miles Overview
The IS 250 is Lexus's compact sports sedan, the one that goes up against the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. It's a sharp handler with a well-balanced chassis, and the steering gives you a good feel for the road. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how composed it feels through corners. Inside, the cabin is nicely trimmed and quiet, though rear-seat space is tight for adults. All-wheel drive sets the 250 apart from the rear-drive version, giving you extra grip in rain or snow. The 2.5L V6 makes 236 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, returning 22 mpg combined. Expect the AWD model to feel a bit heavier at turn-in than the rear-drive car, but it stays planted in slippery conditions.
