2004 Lexus LS 430 430

The LS 430 is Lexus's flagship sedan, the one that made the S-Class and 7 Series look overpriced. It's a serene cruiser that isolates you from the road, though it's not the last word in sporty handling. The cabin is a quiet, leather-lined place with plenty of room for four adults and a generous trunk. Lexus reliability is the big draw here, and the LS 430 is known for going well past 200,000 miles with basic care. The LS 430 was the only trim, so you got the full flagship experience without having to choose between engine or wheelbase options. Its 4.3L V8 makes 300 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, giving it effortless highway passing and a relaxed gait around town. The optional air suspension soaks up bumps even better than the standard coils, but it can be costly to replace when it ages.
