Miles Overview
The IS 250 is Lexus's compact sport sedan, the one that goes up against the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class. It's a sharp little handler, with a firm but controlled ride that makes back roads fun without beating you up. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well built, with comfortable seats and a clean layout, though rear legroom is tight for adults. Expect the usual Lexus dependability here, so it's a car that should give you years of trouble-free driving. The 250 is the base IS, the one to pick if you want the sharp handling and don't need the V6's extra punch of the IS 350. Its 2.5L V6 makes 236 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, and with six-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive it's smooth and eager, returning 24 mpg combined.
