Miles Overview
The Highlander is Toyota's mid-size SUV, built for families who need room for people and cargo without stepping up to a truck-based body-on-frame design. It drives smoothly on pavement and handles light dirt roads fine, though acceleration is modest compared with some rivals. Inside, the front two rows offer generous legroom, the middle row folds flat for extra cargo, and the available third row is best left for kids. Owners report the Highlander as very reliable, with many lasting well past 10 years, though some mention paint peeling and minor plastic trim issues as they age.
