Miles Overview
The 2006 Highlander is Toyota's mid-size SUV, a family hauler that seats up to seven with the optional third row. It drives smoothly and quietly, with a ride that soaks up bumps well, though the steering feels a bit heavy and the turning radius is wide. Inside, there's generous room for passengers and cargo, and the middle row folds flat to open up even more space. Owners report strong reliability, with many going years without major issues, though some mention minor paint chipping and finicky sunroofs. Stepping up to the Limited adds the hybrid powertrain and a long list of comfort and convenience gear, while the base and Sport trims stick with the conventional V6. This Limited includes a third-row seat, so you get seven seats, and the hybrid's seamless power delivery makes it feel more refined than the regular V6.
