Miles Overview
The Highlander is Toyota's mid-size SUV, a roomy three-row family hauler that sits between the compact RAV4 and the larger Sequoia. It drives smoothly and quietly, with a comfortable ride that soaks up bumps well, though the steering feels a bit vague and the turning radius is wide. Inside, there's generous space for seven, with a third row best for kids, and the middle row folds flat to open up a big cargo area. Owners report this Highlander as very reliable, with many running trouble-free for years, though a few mention finicky radios and occasional paint chips. Choosing the Limited over the Sport adds leather upholstery, a power moonroof, and automatic climate control as standard equipment. The Limited with front-wheel drive uses a 3.3L V6 and automatic transmission, delivering smooth, responsive power for daily driving. This trim can be ordered with a third-row seat, turning it into a seven-passenger SUV that still leaves room for cargo behind it.
