Miles Overview
The 4Runner is Toyota's rugged mid-size SUV, built on a body-on-frame chassis that sets it apart from most rivals. It drives with a truck-like feel, and its off-road capability is genuinely impressive, though the ride is on the firm side. Inside, you get a straightforward cabin with quick-heating seats and a layout that's easy to use, but the tech is dated. With three rows, it can seat up to seven, but you'll want to keep luggage light when the third row is up. The SR5 Premium sits above the base SR5, adding SofTex-trimmed heated front seats and the Premium Audio with navigation that the off-road trims skip. Its 4.0L V6 makes 270 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic, and with four-wheel drive you get a 2-speed transfer case for serious trails. You also get the integrated towing hitch receiver and wiring harness as standard, ready for a 5,000-lb trailer.
