Miles Overview
The hatchback body gives you a surprisingly roomy cargo area, and the rear seats fold flat for bulky loads. Some owners note the light-colored interior shows stains easily, and the 12V battery can be pricey to replace. The Touring is the top trim for the 2009 Prius, adding a firmer suspension and larger wheels for a sportier feel than the base model. Its hybrid powertrain pairs the 1.5L I4 hybrid with a continuously variable transmission, and the combination returns 46 mpg combined. The Touring's stiffer suspension and 16-inch alloy wheels sharpen the handling, but the ride is noticeably firmer over rough pavement.
