Miles Overview
The 2021 Prius is the hatchback that made hybrids mainstream, and it still competes with the Insight and Ioniq for efficiency-minded buyers. The cabin is surprisingly roomy for a compact hatch, with comfortable seats and a large cargo area that swallows groceries or luggage. Some owners note the infotainment system is dated and lacks Apple CarPlay, and the engine can emit a buzzing noise under load. The 2020 Edition offers unique styling touches and badging that set it apart from the standard LE, making it a collectible pick for Prius enthusiasts. Its 1.8L I4 hybrid makes 96 horsepower and pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission, so acceleration is leisurely but fuel economy is what matters here.
